My Bitcoin journey started in 2016. For several years, Midas had been trying to get some of our customers with the most powerful equipment to migrate their servers from our air-cooled data center into our immersion tanks. At the time, the standard servers only produced about 12kW of heat, but our tank was engineered for over 100kW. Sometime in 2016, we found out about Bitcoin mining and how powerful ASICs really are. We were instantly able to load our tanks with almost 90kW each. We ended up running a 500kW mine, with most of it hosted in immersion cooling but some running in a Tier 3 data center. As the industry has evolved, so has the Midas equipment solution. We have been getting more involved in the different aspects of bitcoin focusing mostly on the mining side, working to help companies build the most efficient mining data centers. Today we have delivered over half a gigawatt of immersion cooling capacity successfully operating in some of the hotter regions of the country.
