Lens Protocol, built on the Polygon network and launched by Aave, is an open-source protocol focused on constructing composable decentralized trading graphs. It serves as the infrastructure for social media apps and tools that are appearing as rapidly as mushrooms after a rain.

Currently, Lens Protocol is evolving into the foundation of a social graph, with dozens of projects built on top of it. In this article, we categorized nearly 30 projects under social, tool, and discovery/search categories.

Notable applications in the Lens ecosystem include Lenster, a decentralized social media platform for sharing videos; LensFrens, which recommends profiles based on users' Web3 footprints; Phaver, a Share-to-Earn social app; Refract, a link trend ranking board; and Lenstube, a decentralized "YouTube" platform. There are also several innovative projects targeting creators and experts, such as Soclly's time auction network, Clipto's video customization service for celebrities, and LensAI's AI-generated NFT image creator.

Lenster, in particular, is an up-and-coming social media platform built on the Lens Protocol. Supported by Livepeer and Vercel, Lenster allows creators to upload videos and choose video collection objects, limit collection numbers, assign video categories, set collection and recommendation fees. Videos can be directly shared and synchronized to Lens. As a decentralized, permissionless social media app, Lenster only requires users to submit their chosen usernames and wallet addresses without collecting any sensitive information, ensuring user privacy. Additionally, data is stored in the distributed file storage system IPFS, preventing any downtime or DDoS attacks.
